Other Information: Andretti was bred by Meadow View Farm of Gaston, Oregon. He arrived at Silver Spring Farm in May of 2009. We are EXTREMELY excited about this gorgeous young colt. He exhibits awesome athletic ability as well as a disposition that is out of this world.

I have never owned a young horse that was so mellow and willing. He has the speed, agility and MIND of a Quarter Horse as well as the speed and elegance of a Thoroughbred. This colt truly has it all.

He sports an excellent conformation with a short back, long hip, correct legs and beautiful head and neck.

His sire comes from the Bar U Champ Binder line of well-known and successful Canadian ranch horses. His dam is a very substantial thoroughbred mare with proven performance horse bloodlines. With his sire's agility and dam's speed I believe Andretti has the potential to be a fine working horse. He will be an excellent cross on foundation Quarter Horse mares.

Andretti is part of his sire's first foal crop. Even though the crop was quite small Andretti already has several siblings doing extremely well at the open shows in a variety of disciplines. They are TRUE all around prospects!

Andretti is the ONLY silver AQHA stallion within the United States that is capable of producing silver black foals.

He is one to consider if you're looking to improve the following areas: 
Topline/length of back, whither prominence and placement, neck set/head, length of leg, quality of movement and stride length, shoulder and hip angle. Most importantly if you are looking to improve disposition, level-headedness and work ethic you will not find a better match out there for your mare. 

We will be very honest with you not only about the ways in which Andretti would compliment your mare, but also in ways in which he may not be a good choice for your particular mare if applicable. Our goal is to produce quality foals that you as a mare owner will be happy with and we stallion owners would be proud of! 

*UPDATE* Andretti was started lightly under saddle in October of 2010. He spent most of his time out on the trails getting exposed to new situations. This horse will cross water without hesitation and will push his way through the deepest of forest. His willingness and level headedness under saddle are unparralelled. He can be ridden with horses of any gender. I look forward to trail riding with him in 2011.
